As there are exactly 5 months to go until I leave for this incredible trip to Portugal, Spain and France, I want to focus on the Saints directly associated with the places I will visit. In some cases, I will actually see their remains or their tombs!
Saint Anthony of Padua. Normally associated with Italy, he was born and baptized in Lisbon, Portugal where my journey begins. He is known as one of the saints of ''impossible causes''.
Saints Lucia Dos Santos, Jacinta Marto, Francisco Marto
The three little visionaries of Fatima, Portugal. Lucia died at almost 100 years old in 2005 but Jacinta (9) and Francisco (10) were the two youngest canonized saints in the history of the church. I will certainly ask for little Francisco to pray for our beloved Papa Francisco who died yesterday.
Saint Theresa of Avila, Saint John of the Cross and Saint John of Avila are 3 doctors of the church associated with Avila, Salamanca, and Alba De Tormes in Spain.
Saint Ignatius of Loyola's birthplace will be seen in that town.
I will encounter Saint Bernadette twice. First in Lourdes, France and later in Nevers.

In Toulouse, I will see the tomb of Saint Thomas Aquinas, one of the greatest theologians to ever live.
In Rocamadour, I will see the tomb of Zaccheus who climbed the true to see Jesus. Zaccheus was married to Saint Veronica who captured the miraculous image of Jesus face on the way of the cross.
In Para Le Monial, I encounter Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque at the place where Jesus revealed to her the Sacred Heart devotion.
Lisieux is obviously home to Saint Therese of Lisieux, the little flower. Her ''little way'' has inspired millions.
Saint Catherine Laboure and Saint Vincent De Paul will cap off my visit to Paris.
16 Saints. I will plead to all of them for help.
