Unlike many so-called Conservatives, Republicans and Christians, I have the moral fortitude to judge our President objectively and call him out on his many moral failures.
His almost total abandonment of the pro-life cause, his campaign pandering to the LGBTQ cause and his endless self-aggrandizement (see photo) are just some examples. Of course, you can't be honest around the Alex Jones sect of the far right without being labeled anti-Trump or even pro-Kamala.
Fortunately, his support for LBGTQ looks like it may have been a bit of a fein and that's a good thing.
Nonetheless, I will always call it like I see it and Trump is, for all his good points, still:
An opportunist
A narcissist
A clown.
However, I would be remiss if I didn't give him credit on the 3 areas that I believe won him the national election and are winning him favor with the American people.
Energy independence as both the most important economic issue and National Security issue.
You probably don't want to hear this, but he is not the first to publicly articulate this connection. This person was.
Sadly, Sarah Palin was never able to broaden this policy beyond her home state of Alaska. Trump has successfully used this issue to energize the US economy, rocket America up the charts in world competition and regain strategic leverage against countries like Russia and China and the Opec block. He gets an A in this area.
Reigning in the corruption and bloodthirsty weaponization of government, the FBI and the DOJ
This issue has far more support than the democrats and the legacy media will ever be willing to admit but I offer as exhibit A how Trump has won over life-long democrats like Tulsi Gabbard, Robert F Kennedy, Jr, Alan Dershowitz and even Stephen A Smith on this issue.
Since, Barack Obama first brought ''the Chicago way'' to DC, our government has more resembled something Al Capone would be proud of. Trump was completely feckless in his response to this in his first term. He seems to have learned his lesson and has come out with guns blazing. The one miss has been a glaring one. Until Trump is able/willing to go after the politicians themselves who are behind many of these abuses, his record falls short of an A. I'll give him a B-.
Illegal immigration.
Both in prosecution of the crimes and articulation of the threat posed to us in National Security, domestic safety, to our economy, and to our electoral process, Trump scores big.
A+ in this area. Without question, his biggest win.
